I have been keeping up with my Japanese studies. I have been reading a novel by Matsumoto Seicho, and have nearly finished it. I’ve also been studying pharmacology in Japanese for the pharmacology exam next year. And I’ve been studying idioms and kanji for the Kanji Kentei most days.
Day: December 20, 2020
19th December 2020 – Chinese
I haven’t studied for a few days, so it felt good to get back into it. I did some grammar from my HSK 3 textbook, and some vocabulary from a new vocabulary book. The book introduces the words in chants, with music in the background. This is supposed to make the words easier to remember. I have ordered a book for another Chinese test – the Chinese Kentei level 4. The test is a Japanese one, and has more of a focus on grammar and vocabulary than HSK. I thought it would be a good idea to study that too.
19th December 2020 – French
I haven’t studied for a few days, so it felt good to get back into it. I learnt the conditional form of verbs. I also did some vocabulary – I have some new vocabulary books which introduce the words in chants with music in the background. I hope this helps the words to stick. I did some vocabulary exercises from my level 3 test book as well. I’m out of the habit of my daily Duolingo lessons. I must get back onto that.
