12th April 2020 – French

I did a lot today. I started with 30 minutes of Duolingo, and then did 30 minutes of native level reading. I started reading Correspondance between Albert Camus and Maria Casares. I was pleased to see that I could understand some of it!

I then listened to my vocabulary CD and read along with the book, and studied negative sentences. I finished my day of study with shadowing of five units from my “Read Aloud French” book.

Total study time: 2 hours 30 minutes – Duolingo: 30 minutes, reading: 30 minutes, vocabulary: 30 minutes, grammar: 40 minutes, shadowing: 20 minutes

12th April 2020 – Chinese

I did two more units from my “Read Aloud Chinese” book. The sentence are getting slightly more difficult, and there are some words and grammar which I haven’t encountered before. Which means a lot of it is above level 3 on the HSK test.

After studying the two units I went back to unit one and did shadowing all the way up to unit eight.

Total study time: 1 hour – Grammar/vocabulary: 45 minutes, shadowing: 15 minutes
