I am still reading an English novel in my Japanese study time, so no study for the cosmetics exam today. I should be finished with the book in two days or so. I need to get on with my study as the exam is only about seven weeks away.

26th March 2020 – French
I did negatives, interrogatives, and adverbs with the passe compose. I need more practice than the book is giving me. I also did the passe compose with etre, as in the verbs that are conjugated with etre. More study needed. I have a French verb book waiting for me when I finish this one, which will give me more practice, but now that I know the basic rules, I think it’s time to start expanding and using other resources. Graded readers would be useful.

26th March 2020 – Chinese
I studied units 22 and 23 from my HSK level 3 textbook. Unit 22 was about experience and the future, and unit 23 was about cause and reasons. They were quite straightforward and easy to understand. Using them is another matter. The further I get with this book, the more I realise that I need extra supplementary resources to cement what I’m learning and to give me more practice. But first things first. Pass the test.
