I watched an interview with a director and actor of a film that I’m going to see over the weekend. The film is a documentary about Mishima Yukio. I’ve read some of his novels and find his life fascinating. Watching the interview was good listening practice. I really must get back into my cosmetics exam textbook soon though.

I watched an interview with Simone de Beauvoir. I wanted to see how I was progressing. I watched the interview with English subtitles, and was pleasantly surprised to see that I could pick words out as I was listening. I wouldn’t have understood it without the subtitles, and probably wouldn’t have picked out so many words. It was good motivation to see how far I’ve come and how far I’ve got to go. Back to the books tomorrow.

I just did some listening in my car today. I wanted to watch two interviews – one in Japanese and one in French, so they ate into my study time. More tomorrow.
