I had a Chinese lesson today. We went through some of the exercises in my conversation book. They were about borrowing things from people and breaking and repairing things. I couldn’t complete them without her help.

I don’t think the book is designed for self-study. I have already read all the conversations in the book, but I haven’t done the exercises. Going over them is good reinforcement. My teacher read out a reading passage to me to check my listening. Unfortunately, I could catch very little. Must work on this.
