11th March 2020 – French

I got back on the studying today. It felt good. I did stressed pronouns and the imperative and its forms. Some of the exercises were too difficult for me, so I looked at the answers. I feel I need more input before I can give any output, and the book doesn’t have that many explanations and examples. (Well, not for me anyway!) There was also a long list of house-related vocabulary to memorise, but memorising lists is not my strong point.

Instead of listening, I went on Duolingo for the first time in months. I needed to work on some of the skills to restore them to level 5. I think Duolingo is good for repetition, and will be helpful for cementing the grammar points I’m still not quite sure about.

Total study time: 1 hour 30 minutes – Grammar 1 hour, Duolingo: 30 minutes

11th March 2020 – Chinese

I got back on the studying today. I just did some listening, but it was better than nothing. I did 10 passages from Mimi ga Yorokobu Chinese. Some of the passages are quite difficult for my still, and I don’t understand them without reading along, but I feel like I’m making progress. I’m picking out sounds and words.

Total study time: 30 minutes – Listening: 30 minutes
