25th February 2020 – Japanese

I finished the novel In the Pool. I really enjoyed it. There were some laugh-out-loud moments. Now I’m wondering whether to start the second book of the series, read my new idiomatic expression book, or review the textbooks for the cosmetics and skincare exams. It might be too early to start reviewing. The tests are in May, so reviewing from April should be enough time. That’s if the exams go ahead – a lot of events are being cancelled over here due to the corona virus.

I’ll see what I feel like doing tonight.

25th February 2020 – French

I didn’t get much done, but I did find a site which explained ce qui and ce que in a way I understand. It says that the key is to look at what comes after – if it is a subject pronoun or a noun, you use ce que. If not, you use ce qui.

I think there might be different rules if a preposition is used, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Just learning the basic rules is enough for now.

I did 20 pages of vocabulary study to make up for not doing 10 pages yesterday. That’s about it. Tuesdays are busy days.
