18th February 2020 – Japanese

I started reading In the Pool by Hideo Okuda. Just after the first few pages I could see that it was very different from the 1960s crime novels I usually read, and is going to be highly entertaining.

A man, who is sick (but the hospital can’t find anything wrong) goes to see a psychiatrist who is a bit odd. The psychiatrist gives the man an injection (it doesn’t say what of) every day, and when the man takes up swimming, the psychiatrist tags along. That’s as far as I’ve got.
